Outside the Contra Hall
I often say “everything I needed to learn about life, I learned from contra dance.”
That’s not a typical statement to make on a mission blog…I mean, “dance?” I’ve written about being a missionary and dancing before: http://rachelfinder.livejournal.com/26849.html but this time I had my world as a dancer cross into my world as a missionary in a new way.

Discussions
Perhaps my most favorite thing at Urbana were the discussions I had with the many different people who showed up at the booth. Some were only for a few moments. Others lasted longer.
There was one young lady who stopped by later in the week. I’m going to call her Sandi. She was finished with college, and seriously wanted to get into ministry. But her big question was, how do you figure out...

Home Assignment
I don’t know if my trip home for the holidays technically counts as a home assingment or not. It’s not just a fun time to hang out with my family. I’m home to not only visit but to raise the rest of my support needs, spend time with my church family, and encouraging my supporters.
